SALVAGED GRAPES

Money is tight all over! 

Try as we may, we end up throwing away too many of our groceries.  

Here are a few tips to get maximum benefit from your grocery dollar.

Grapes wilted? Such a shame. They languish in the fridge while you come to term with chucking them. Money down the drain …. Here’s a way to put those fading grapes to good use. Bake them. Yes, put them in the oven and roast them. You’ll extend their life for a few days and they have plenty of wonderful uses.

INGREDIENTS

Grapes of any description

Drizzle of olive oil  – just enough to let them slide around in the pan

DIRECTIONS

Heat an oven or toaster oven to 350 degrees.

Grapes should be free of woody stems

Slide in the oiled tray of loose grapes.

Check them in about five minutes; cooking time depends on their size

When they’re done – they’ll kind of plump up – add them to salads, yogurt, chicken dishes, sandwiches,  or just pop them in your mouth. They taste different from fresh grapes and you’re going to be surprised at how delicious they are.
